1. What is the Trading Online Voucher Scheme?
The Trading Online Voucher Scheme is an initiative by the Department of Enterprise to encourage Irish businesses to build an online presence. This can be in the form of Website Design and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Services including Google my Business creation among other SEO services. The grant allows businesses to claim back up to €2,500. This applies to businesses with 10 or less employees. Please bear in mind this relates to full time employees. One of my clients recently got approved for this because they had 8 Full-Time employees, and 6 sub-contractors. The Local Enterprise Board was happy to approve the grant as the total amount of Full-Time employees was under 10.

The reason behind this is to get Irish Businesses online. The recent Covid Pandemic highlighted the need for businesses to have an online presence as many businesses were closed while many others were able to trade online and sell their goods using an Ecommerce Website. From Shoe Shops to Cafes, having an online facility people can use and pay for goods is a full sure way to increase a business’s profit.
