As a follow on from last weeks article on finding recommended Keywords in Googles Keyword Planner, today we will discuss how to setup a Google Analytics account to keep on top of Impressions and Visitors to your website. Firstly, you will need a Gmail email address for all Google Tools such as Google My Business, Google Analytics and Google Drive. I would advise setting up immediately for your business. Once you have your business email, you can amalgamate the two. I will create a Blog on how to do this shortly.
You can add Google Analytics to your website through Global site tag (gtag.js) in the Tool. Use this if you’re using a website builder or CMS-hosted site. You can add the Analytics tag to your website to begin seeing the analytics in your Tool. This is described in better detail here.
However, there is a simpler way to install Google Analytics
There is a simpler way and it allows you to check Google Analytics reporting in your Dashboard. It is by far and away the easiest way to install Google Analytics reporting. It involves downloading a specific plugin to your back end. You need to add the Plugin, MonsterInsights. This is the most popular Google Analytics plugin for WordPress with over 3 million installs. There is a paid version, but we will just stick to the Free Version for what we are looking for which is Google Analytics reporting at our fingertip. It should then display on your back end as such:

Having this installed makes the process easier and also keep reporting in one specific location. I would recommend doing it this way for this, but also because it is easier and saves time for both beginners and experts alike. You can use the Pro Version if you want advanced features like Ecommerce Tracking, Ads Tracking or Author Tracking. Once installed, the plugin will add a new menu item labeled ‘Insights’ to your WordPress admin menu.
